Utilizing animated graphics, this app provides a comprehensive overview of Earthquake data, allowing you to easily understand and visualize seismic activity.

With Earthquake 3D, you can explore eight different Earth display types, including population and tectonic plate maps. The app also offers four custom view presets, as well as solid and wire frame 3D views with transparent Earth ability.

One of the standout features of Earthquake 3D is the Sequencer, which showcases earthquakes as they happened through animation loops. Users have control over the speed, decay, and sound of the earthquake sequencer loops, enhancing their viewing experience.

This app contains an extensive database of historic earthquake information spanning over 4000 years. The data is sourced from reputable organizations such as USGS, European EMSC, British Geological Survey, and New Zealand Geonet. Additionally, Earthquake 3D provides a real-time display of worldwide volcano activity.

The inclusion of DEX depth visualization and individual quake indicator flags provides users with detailed information on magnitude and depth. By tapping on an indicator flag, users can access additional details about each earthquake, including local maps, local news, and advanced seismic information.

Earthquake 3D offers a user-friendly interface with intuitive controls. Users can position and spin the Earth using point and drag gestures and zoom in or out by pinching the screen. Additionally, they can filter earthquakes by magnitude and age using slider controls.

Other noteworthy features of Earthquake 3D include earthquake angle indicators, an automatic refresh timer, and retina-enabled graphics for enhanced clarity.

In addition to its live data sources, Earthquake 3D comes equipped with an Atlas database that provides historic earthquake information. This database is accessible even when offline, ensuring users always have access to valuable insights.

As a third-generation iteration, this edition of Earthquake 3D builds upon its predecessors' success. Initially launched in 2003 as a desktop application, it has since become a standard for video presentations and visualizations of earthquake information. The latest edition brings new features and updates, cementing its status as a modern classic.
